Approximately $16 million was originally made available to tribes through this RFA (combined spring, summer and fall rounds) to support the planning, design and construction of clean energy projects that promote tribal sovereignty, advance resiliency and contribute to Washington’s decarbonization goals. Commerce exceeded this amount and awarded approximately $17 million through the spring and summer review period. Commerce is now making an additional $6 million available to exclusively support clean energy siting and permitting for federally recognized tribes.
