The mission of Growth Management Services is to assist and guide local governments in Washington to manage growth and development consistent with the Growth Management Act.
Washington’s Growth Management Act (GMA) requires the state’s fastest-growing cities and counties to develop comprehensive plans and development regulations to guide their growth. Growth Management Services provides direct assistance, grants and guidance to assist local governments in meeting the requirements of the GMA.
